**About the Role**

This post will report to the Senior Sales & Marketing Manager and sits within the event management section of the QM Venues team. The post holder will be responsible for the development of external business and management of incoming events enquiries.

Part of the role is to build strong relationships with corporate customers and ensure repeat business via key account management. This role is both pro-active and re-active in the sales approach.

**Job purpose**

To generate and maximise income for Estates and Facilities by contributing to and delivering the commercial business plan, working as part of the commercial sales team to reach annual income targets.

The post holder will be a people person that enjoys forging new relationships and maintaining existing ones as repeat business is essential to the achievement of the annual income target.

To enable a seamless approach to sales the department uses a CRM which manages the diary and financial processing. The post holder should development a good working knowledge of the system and support the Head of Commercial Sales by using it to report activityand manage rates.
