**The Role**:
Working closely with all members of MDT and associated clerical staff, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring the timely and planned movement of cancer and suspected cancer patients through their journey from referral onwards. They will co-ordinate and monitor the investigation and treatment journey for urgent patients ensuring delays are pre-empted and resolved to enable the patients to receive treatment in line with national targets.

**What we'll need you to bring**:

- HND Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Administration experience within a hospital setting
- Proficient in the use of Software systems
- Advanced keyboard skills
- Excellent Organisational and communication skills
- Track record of ability to prioritise and problem-solve.
- ** Car driver with a valid UK/EU/EEA licence**

**It would be great if you also have**:

- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Understanding of the importance of data quality
- Knowledge of cancer waiting time standards
- Proficient in the use of hospital systems including Trakcare
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Thorough and meticulous
- Enthusiastic, innovative and flexible approach to work
- Ability to travel between hospital sites in Lanarkshire

**Contract type**:

- Permanent
- Full-time
- 37.5hours

**Location and Working Pattern**:
This role will be based in Cancer Services within University Hospital Wishaw.
