**Wedding and Events Co-ordinator (Maternity Cover)**

We are looking for an ambitious, highly organised person with excellent people skills to join our dynamic events team and promote Hotel Cromwell. You will be responsible for bringing each couples dream to life by delivering every detail of their wedding. You will also deliver excellent client events, from business conferences to private functions. The Wedding and Events Co-ordinator will assist the Wedding and Events Manager with the running of the department, to ensure the department delivers a high-quality service to the customers as well as maximising on all sales opportunities.

**What you will be doing**:

- Conducting show-rounds of the venue for all potential clients, promoting Hotel Cromwell to the highest standard and ensuring the correct information is given in an appropriate manner.
- Respond to enquiries in a timely manner.
- Taking bookings for all events in the Hotel.
- Conduct planning meetings with wedding and events bookings.
- Issuing contracts for all confirmed bookings.
- Taking payments for deposits and full balances for all bookings.
- Liaise with our chefs to ensure we deliver the highest standard of food quality and exceptional customer experiences.
- Complete weekly function sheets accurately for the Operations team to understand and deliver.
- Take part in weekly function sheet meetings with all other departments of the Hotel team.
- Support the management team to deliver consistently high standards.
- Assist with organising and attending showcase events here at the Hotel as well as external exhibitions and fairs.
- Liaise with wedding couples from the initial viewing stage and throughout the planning process before handing over the information to the operations team.

**Personal Specification**
- Be a strong multi tasker and personable, with the ability to communicate in an appropriate manner depending on the nature of the event.
- The Wedding and Events Co-ordinator should enjoy working and dealing with the public and being part of a team.
- Confident, pleasant and an excellent articulate communicator; able to stay calm under pressure and remain courteous when dealing with difficult situations.
- Must be efficient, organised, and self-motivated.
- Have a good personal standard always projecting a professional image.
- Service focused personality is essential and a passion for everything food and beverage.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities and the ability to lead by example.
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
- Ability to work on your own or in teams
- Passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service
