**What you’ll be doing**

As the Events Logistics Coordinator, you’ll support the delivery of physical and virtual events, working closely with internal and external stakeholders and working within a budget and to a timeline ensuring the IET values of excellence, integrity and teamwork are always evident. Your role will enable a wide portfolio of events to be delivered, disseminating knowledge, creating a financial surplus and enhancing the reputation of the IET.

**A little more about the role**
- To be responsible for some aspects of organising and delivering a portfolio of events
- To run a number of online courses on Teams or other similar virtual platform
- To wholly organise a number of smaller events in the team portfolio
- Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work collaboratively as one team with IET volunteers and staff
- To support the Event Logistics Manager with tasks, virtual environments and event materials for the larger events ensuring that all are completed in a timely manner and of a suitable quality
- To attend each event organised, assisting with professional delivery both online and on site
- To have basic knowledge of event specific Health and Safety matters
- To undertake any other duties and projects as requested by the line manager

**A little more about what we’re looking for**
- GCSE Maths and English at grade 5 or above, or equivalent
- You can prioritise tasks and meet strict deadlines
- An excellent communicator who has confident customer service and stakeholder handling skills
- You will be able to work well across a number of teams in the business with a proactive approach
- Good problem-solving skills, an ability to think laterally and creatively to find solutions
- Able to travel (UK and overseas) and stay overnight and/or at weekends when required

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Experience of working in an office environment
- Experience of being in a team running events - either professionally or voluntary
- Basic knowledge of video conferencing or virtual event platforms (such as Microsoft Teams)
- Basic knowledge of working with data and complying with GDPR
- Good working knowledge of current social media platforms
