**About the role**

Have a passion for media relations and seeking a new challenge?

This role is a central cog in the team, supporting in the delivery and execution of high-impact communications campaigns that highlight DS Smith’s vision, values, purpose. A natural ‘people-person’, you will be promoting the business’s campaigns across all audiences, media and stakeholder engagement as well as taking a key role in managing reactive press enquiries on a broad range of issues. Using your excellent writing, project management and communication skills, you will be responsible for (amongst other things):

- Building close working relationships with internal stakeholders and develop impactful press materials
- Working closely with tier one media, ensuring you are spotting opportunities for DS Smith to run campaigns
- Collaborating with the wider Corporate Affairs colleagues on high-profile global events and senior leadership activities
- Contributing to the development of written content such as the sustainability report

So, if you are detail-orientated, with strong project management skills and a have a strong appetite for media relations then we might be looking for you

**About you**
- An experienced media operative with strong relationships across tier one media
- Experience delivering media relations and campaigns
- Understanding of print, broadcast, and interactive communication channels
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with sensitivity to the audience and medium in use
- Good interpersonal skills combined with a proactive and confident manner to help you to build a good rapport with colleagues and external stakeholders
- Degree qualified (or relevant work experience)

**Location**:This is a hybrid role, split between the London Paddington office and home - however flexibility will be required at times.
