Executives must:
- Demonstrate company standard in their quality of work, output, and technical requirements across Information, News and Networking duties as outlined in this job description. Executives should also demonstrate Leadership qualities by supporting newer joiners; including being able to explain Team processes, rotas, targets, and reports
- Demonstrate a professional, proactive approach to supporting the successful completion of Team rotas, reports, and targets, in-line with location business plans. Executives should also be identifying, developing, and implementing efficiencies with the Team where opportunities arise
- Show an understanding of their location business plans their rationale and objectives in supporting Telum Client Management and Sales Teams, as well as the wider media industry. Importantly, Executives should be able to implement Team projects and business plans with support and sign-off by their Location Manager
- Be able to confidently discuss the media industry and trends in their location - including the different media types, sectors, and roles - with deeper knowledge of influential and prominent titles.

Information-
- Executives must demonstrate a sound knowledge of Telum's database and information system and work at a high standard that fully encompass Telum Style Guide and technical requirements
- Executives must demonstrate a constant awareness of Team targets and a keenness to achieve these throughout the month. You must understand verification and enhancement requirements and be determined to deliver Team goals laid out in the business plan
- Executives should support Team project implementation plans, as well as being able to complete small projects independently to standard and deadline [as determined by their Location Manager], and assist on [and at times, lead] large data projects

News-
- Executives must demonstrate a hunger for news, as well as breaking news, and an ability to produce content quickly to achieve the company's goal of 'Telum first', e.g., first alerts, media requests, interest surveys, Top 500 interviews
- Work proactively in managing and supporting the Team and content dashboard to ensure information is accurately updated in the database prior to articles being published on the news site
- Develop skills in connecting with journalists and newsroom managers to investigate potential new hires or changes to the MO - then reflect that accordingly in the database and Telum's editorial content
- Demonstrate high quality editorial skills to confidently edit their own work, as well as junior team members, and confidently carry out alert dispatching duties; including coaching Associate Executives in the process
- Actively pitch story ideas that will engage clients and journalists in the media alerts and Telum news site and create opportunities to enhance Telum with moves, TTTs, Q&As, vox pops and analysis pieces
- Assist Location Managers in coming up with and implementing content ideas related to industry developments, moves, events, activities, to support location business plans

Networking- Demonstrate an ability to take relationships 'offline' and into the real world; developing journalist relations and ‘moles’; and maintaining regular contact with industry stakeholders to bring relevant ‘inside information’ to Telum
- Executives must show a determination to accurately enhance the database with proprietary information and submit networking notes within 1-3 days of a meeting [dependent on the volume work]
- Set high standards of work and an eagerness to develop junior colleagues - taking them to journalist networking meetings - and coaching them in pre / post meeting processes
- Executives should be able to confidently handle complaints, negative responses, and tough questions from journalists [with assistance from Senior Executives, your Location Manager or Regional Head]
