Job Duties:

- Support the academies and HR team with an efficient and professional administration support service. Be the first point of contact for recruitment, HR and payroll related queries.

Recruitment:

- Assist in the provision of an efficient and effective recruitment service to the academies, following safer recruitment practices
- Advise academies regarding content of adverts and job descriptions / person specifications where necessary
- Undertake pre-employment checks including Disclosure and Barring Service checks, eligibility to work and teacher specific checks
- Issue offer letters and contracts, plus undertake other administration relating to contractual and personal changes

Payroll and HR systems:

- Administer staff benefit schemes and produce reports for Finance and Payroll & Pensions Manager / HMRC
- Administration of notifications of maternity, paternity and shared parental leave, including calculating leave and pay entitlements; communicating entitlements to staff; entering information into payroll system and database
- Action notifications of jury service and recovery of salary
- Accurately maintain the Cascade HR system adding new starters, removing leavers, processing contractual changes etc
- Input any changes affecting employee's pay into the HR system, for example, contractual changes and absence
- Provide regular workforce data to academies and HR team i.e. fixed term contracts due to expire and staff attendance

Other duties may include:

- Deal appropriately with enquires to the HR department, including managing the general HR team inbox, replying and carrying out actions as required
- Assist academies (where necessary) with maintaining single central record and producing workforce census. Undertake spot checks
- Assist Finance team with recharges
- Assist the academies with responding to reference requests, liaising with the HR Manager when necessary
- Arrange meetings and type accurate minutes
- Ensure HR files are kept up-to-date
- Assist the HR Business Partner and HR Manager with projects as required
