Live-out Houseman

**London, Kingston-upon-Thames**, **Salary £55,000 gross per annum**:

Our client, near to Kingston-upon-Thames, is seeking an experienced Live-out Houseman to work at his property. Due to the location, you must be a driver.

**Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Laying the table, clearing away after the service of all meals, washing up and putting away all the items used
- Providing daily dining services: table and drinks service, laying the table for smaller parties
- Coordinating the table and drink service for larger parties with other staff members and external contractors
- Laying of the table (for dinners with guests - check which room is to be used and then propose crockery and glassware for selection)
- Preparation and service for events & social occasions
- Remain at residence for duration of any dinners, social occasions, or functions, and for necessary post-event tidying
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory lists and stockkeeping, ensuring stock is maintained and replenished
- Running errands
- Cleaning and preparing fireplaces
- Check wood stock and fill basket in the house
- Assisting with packing / transporting household / personal items when needed
- Providing general assistance to the household staff as may reasonably be requested, including heavier housework
- Valeting, including shoe care
- Assisting with flower arranging and daily care of flowers, specifically the heavy duties such as water changes
- Ensuring all household equipment is maintained (including AV, lighting, music systems)
- Polishing and cleaning of silverware, glassware & crockery
- Maintaining house, including reparations and general handyman work
- Generally ensuring the highest standards are maintained across the property and the highest standards of service delivered to the principal
- Occasion international travel maybe required

**Expectations**
- Should be happy to work evenings and weekends when the principal is in residence, less when he is away
- Expected to be remain on site until close of each day
- Be a good team player
