We are looking for a Data/Fibre Installation Engineer to join a world-leading automotive company based in Solihull on a contract basis.

The **Data/Fibre Installer **will be responsible for Data/Fibre installations and modifications on site Projects.

**Responsibilities of the Data/Fibre Installer**:

- Competent in electrical/Data installation to drawing.
- Reading and understanding complex engineering drawings & schematics
- Installation and modifications of cable trays, trunking, conduits to automotive industry standards.
- Lead Installation and modifications of power and data cables
- All data installations must satisfy and comply with the Passive Network Standards.
- Troubleshooting data installation issues using root cause analysis and documenting resolution
- Provide assistance/lead with all Data and Fibre projects.
- All data installations to be tested using FLUKE DSX-5000

**Skills Required for the Data/Fibre Installer Engineer**:

- City & Guilds 2382 18th/17th Electrical Regulations
- Jib Registered
- ECS / CSCS Cards
- Current MEWP Licence
- Previous Experience of working on industrial electrical/Data installation projects within a production or automotive environment
- Single and Multimode Fibre Optics Termination, splicing, hot melt, and cold cure
- Single and Multimode Fibre Optics Testing
- Previous experience with the installation and maintenance of CCTV systems, wired back to the corporate network.
- Equipped with own comprehensive tool kit with suitable tools for the role
- Brandrex trained, or willing to take Brandrex course to become accredited.
- Proven experience in splicing - 1-2 years minimum
