Charles Darwin Primary is an outstanding school based in the heart of Norwich. We are looking for an enthusiastic, and inspiring Classroom Assistant with KS1 experience to join our team. You will be an inspirational practitioner who is passionate about raising achievement through motivating and inspiring students, who will also contribute to the vision and values of the school.? The role involves supporting children in the classroom and small group interventions to support KS1 children to make accelerated progress. You will also be required to teach RWI phonics to a small group. You should be able to work effectively as part of a team, following the direction of the teachers as well as working under your own initiative.

**The main responsibility of the role will be**:
To work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff.

To work within the overall ethos of the Academy.

To undertake care and learning programmes and activities to support individuals or groups of pupils, including more specialised support for those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or EAL (English as an Additional Language).

Experience working with upper KS1 children

Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age

Experience supporting children with high needs SEND and behaviour needs

Experience of leading interventions to support learning

Ability to use a range of relevant technology

Experience of teaching RWI phonics scheme would be desirable.
