**Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service **is looking for a **Grants and Procurement Officer **to enhance our team based at our Service Headquarters in Exeter. You will join us on a **2-year Fixed Term Contract** working **37 hours** per week and will receive a competitive salary of **£31364.00 - £33945.00 **(gross) per annum.

**Key responsibilities of our Grants and Procurement Officer**:

- Proactively seek to develop understanding and knowledge base of new technologies. government initiatives and ways of working in support of accessing and delivering grant funding initiatives. Ensure grants and contracts deliver anticipated technical and business benefits and take corrective actions for any governance, budget, finance and supply issues.
- Comply with the eligibility criteria of the grant funding requirements and the Service strategic, technical and commercial requirements and communicate these effectively to relevant stakeholders. Report on grant funding scheme performance and capture lessons learned for future opportunities.
- Work independently and as part of a team to identify priorities, manage work demands and dependencies in other areas. Undertake and/or assist in procurement and contract management activity with the wider Procurement Team.
- Prioritise own workload and provide support to the wider Procurement team, seeking quotations and responding to queries, providing administrative arrangements and the collation and analysis of data and performance indicators.
- To work in line with all Service policies and systems. Participate in the Personnel Performance and Development (PPD) Review process and people initiatives.
- To adhere to and actively promote the Service's Core Values and business ethics.

- Ability to collate, analyse and appropriately/effectively evaluate and report on outcomes providing recommendations.
