CDM Coordinator

Contract(Inside IR35) or Staff

Provide support, assistance and advice in respect to CDM compliance throughout the Task/Project Lifecycle (conception to handover) to the appointed duty holders:

- Client “Representative”,
- Principal Designer & Designers
- Principal Contractor and Contractors

The main recipient of this support is the Principal Designer.

Encourage and promote co-operation and communication between appointed duty holders e.g., Client Representative, PD and PC, permanent and temporary works designers, and between project functions e.g., Design/Pre-construction (commercial)/Construction.

Particular duties will include but are not restricted to;- Assist Principal Designers and Client “Representatives” in undertaking the “Adequacy assessment” of supplied Facility Overarching PCI and Task Specific PCI.
- Coordinate and development of Preconstruction Information (Facility Overarching and Task Specific - Pre-Design PCI) when ISA is contracted to undertake this.
- Ensure Task Specific - Pre-Design PCI is updated to Task Specific - Post Design PCI.
- Updating the CDM with the Project designer’s risks assessments and residual risk registers.
- Develop H&S Files during Scoping and Planning (FED) stage, and ensure they are updated and issued when required.
- Submission, distribution, and control of formal F10 notification where applicable.
- Management of CDM aspects of the CDM Tracker (xl spreadsheet)

Provide the main focus of support for an allocated Portfolio of Tasks/Projects and provide back up support to other portfolios, as and when ISA

MY PROFILE

Relevant science or engineering degree or equivalent.
- A good understanding of the general UK H&S Regulatory framework*.
- A good understanding of or working towards it, of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (CDM) and Managing health and safety in construction L153 Guidance.
- A good understanding of Managing Safety in Construction and working towards attaining the IOSH Managing Safety in Construction Certificate.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literacy including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Capable of reading technical and engineering drawings and engineering flow diagrams.
- Able to discuss and offer general practical H&S solutions for design/ engineering and construction personnel.

Client IT systems (MS Office, Excel etc)

Minimum Monitored Worker (preferred)

Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
