An exciting opportunity has arisen within the One Gloucestershire Integrated Care System to ensure delivery of a comprehensive strategic apprenticeship and widening participation programme within the system. TheICS Apprenticeship & Widening Participation Programme Lead is a key role within the new and developing People Team across Gloucestershire.

The postholder will work closely with the Education Leads and partner Apprenticeship Teams to develop the ICS’s Apprenticeship and Widening Participation Strategy and support the delivery of the Apprenticeship Plan to facilitate the maximum take-up of apprenticeships and levy spend countywide.

The postholder will develop a range of widening access and participation initiatives across health and social care, including for example, rotational apprentice placements, work experience opportunities and support for T-level students. They will maximise the benefits of working across the system, providing targeted support for staff and communities who might otherwise experience disadvantage.

Working closely with the ICS Education & Training Steering Group, the post holder will provide project expertise to facilitate the development, delivery and monitoring of various Apprenticeship and widening participation projects, procurement, quality processes and collaborative activity among stakeholders.
