Business Rates Officer

I am working with a Public Sector Organisation based in Newham Council who are looking for experienced Business Rates Officer for 3 Months initially.

The role is full time, to start ASAP and paying £25.44 Umbrella per Hour. The role is in scope of IR35.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- To maximise revenue through the assertive collection of NNDR in accordance with the Local Government and Finance Act 1992, subsequent regulations and the recovery policy.

Knowledge and Experience:

- Extensive knowledge of NNDR including relevant legislation and regulations as well as the experience of handling complex information.
- Substantial experience and detailed knowledge of use of Information Technology.
- Understanding and commitment to promoting and implementing the Council's Equal Opportunities poli-cies.
- Experience of administering all types of NNDR accounts.
- Experience of working on other duties other than administering accounts as indicated in the Job Profile that would lead to the achievement of the purpose of the job.

Experience of dealing directly with and advising members of the public in a professional manner under all circumstances.
