**Data Integration / Metadata Consultant - 6 months - London/Hybrid - £500 per day (Outside IR35)**

The Data Warehouse team is structured into three distinct functional groups, plus a dedicated support group. The Data Integration group focuses on delivering DI and other data integration capabilities. We are looking to hire an additional consultant to workon Corporate Services Area for this group.

The Data Warehouse delivers reporting across the majority of the business functions. The Data Integration group manage data from a variety of sources including departments as diverse as Human Resources and Treasury Accounting, and systems as diverse as SAPand Summit.

The Data Warehouse is delivered using Cognos and Tableau on Oracle, with Informatica as the data integration layer and metadata delivery.

**Objective and Scope of Work**

Streams of work:

- This role requires work in developing loading of data into the Analyst Gateway, as directed by the PM and product owner of the Agile Data Provisioning project.
- Contribute to creation of resource loads, best practise and controls with the setup of Informatica's Enterprise Data Catalogue metadata platform as directly by the PM and Product owner of the Data Brokerage project
- Help with best practise and controls with the setup of Informatica's Cloud platform (IIC) as directly by the PM and Product owner of the Data Brokerage project.

In order to achieve the assignment's objective the Consultant will address the following key responsibilities:

- Design and develop new DI processes
- Adhere to defined standards for all developed components
- Test and implement new DI processes
- Participate in design and development review
- Produce support documentation
- Maintain existing DI processes
- Share ownership of DI Best Practice
- Monitor and improve performance of DI processes
- Share ownership of metadata management systems
- Improve change management in DI systems

**Expected Experience**
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in Data Warehouse development, implementation and support
- Extensive hands on experience of Informatica 10.
- Experience in metadata tooling - specifically EDC.
- Experience with SQL Server
- Direct experience in implementing DI solutions
- Direct experience in resolving DI issues
- Direct experience of Oracle PL/SQL
- Good understanding of Kimball methodology / star schema design
- Experience in BMC Control-M helpful.

**They will also possess the following generic skills**:

- Previous experience of working in a Banking environment an advantage
- Excellent communicator in English - both written and verbal
- Possesses strong investigative and analytical qualities
- Has ability to coach more junior team members in an open and involving manner
- Able to contribute to an environment of continuous improvement
