Planner 6 Month Position
Location: Luton, Bedfordshire
Essential Functions:
- Supporting the business to maximise revenue & planning the work efficiently by maintaining a current view of customer orders, plant capacity and inventory. Help to drive OTTR/OTTC within the plant to ensure we hit targets
- Convert MRP generated planned orders to production orders into SAP taking into consideration material availability and capacity resulting in the best fit for customer requests.
- Monitor and react to the daily MRP exceptions within the constraints of material and capacity availability.
- Co-ordinate modifications to product ensuring Bills of material (B.O.M.) or inventory transactions reflect any changes to product.
- Track Production Orders and identify possible material supply problems effecting customers, and ensuring all stakeholders are notified. Liaise with Sales giving accurate delivery dates and feedback on potential delays.
- Participate in improvement meetings in order to identify and implement changes that will benefit the performance of the business

Qualifications/Experience:
- Min of 2yr experience is required in a fast pace manufacturing role
- A good communicator who can work well across all levels of the business
- Willingness to learn & excellent attention to detail
- Able to stay calm & work under pressure
- Working knowledge of SAP and Excel
