**About the role**

We are looking for a Programme and Team Support Officer to support the NHS Confederation’s Mental Health Network in our small but busy team working to provide high quality administrative and project support to Mental Health Network colleagues and members.

You will play a critical role in supporting the smooth running of the team’s activity, organising and ensuring effective running of meetings, taking minutes, membership administration and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. This is a varied and interesting role, where you will get to work across a range of projects and forums providing effective administrative and programme support.

As a Programme and Team Support Officer you will provide day to day programme and administrative support to the Mental Health Network. This includes:

- Working closely with Mental Health Network colleagues to ensure the smooth running of member forums and groups, including setting up meetings, collating and circulating agendas for meetings and writing minutes.
- Providing administrative support to the CEO and colleagues in the Mental Health Network, including co-ordinating the distribution of external communications, maintain the membership database, booking travel, processing expenses and membership administration.
- Support the successful delivery of Mental Health Network events, including small events and meetings such as the team meeting and board meeting, to large events such as MHN’s webinar programme and the Annual Conference and Exhibition which hosts 170 delegates in April 2024.

The NHS Confederation’s Mental Health Network is the voice for NHS funded mental health and learning disability service providers and commissioners in England. MHN represents providers and commissioners from across the statutory, independent and third sectors. We work with government, arm’s length bodies, the media, the mental health sector and the wider health and care system to promote excellence in mental health services.

**About you**

We would love to hear from you if you have:

- Experience of organising and supporting the effective running of meetings.
- Excellent written and organisational skills.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, with good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use initiative and judgement, able to anticipate tasks which need to be undertaken, and work with minimum supervision.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of working with IT and software including MS Office and MS Teams.
- Interest in working within the NHS and mental health sectors.
