**About the role**:
**Job Purpose**:
To bill media, fees and production activity for 50% of external clients, manage their credit control and associated tasks.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure all media, fee and production billing is completed correctly and in a timely manner to enable the finance team to fufil WPP and client contractual obligations.
- Manage credit control to optimise working capital and within WPP 120 day obligations and inline with the escalation process.
- Ownership of cash management associated with credit control, all transactions on SR ledger.
- Report and reconcile unbilled media and debtor reports on a monthly basis for WPP Group reporting.
- Support the supplier adding/amending and new starter process.

**Tasks**:

- Manage the unbilled media for 50% of external clients, this includes running regular reports to review aged media, uploading drafts with deadlines to the client teams, following up with the teams to ensure variances are reviewed and backup uploaded is sufficient to meet audit requirements before putting live and sending to the client
- Raise fee and third party invoices based on the RTB form on a weekly basis.
- Chase clients for payments or confirmation of payment dates in line with the set escalation process and WPP 120 day obligations.
- Build strong, interactive relationships with both the client and client teams to ensure invoices are billed correctly and client queries are addressed in a timely manner to ensure payment within terms.
- Check cash balances daily and inform relevant finance team members of exchange rates
- Post cash daily, any unallocated cash should be followed up regularly or escalated where needed.
- On a monthly basis review any billing or credit control adjustments, prepare a journal for any FX and do the contra’s
- Media invoice queries should be looked into and responded to in a collaborative and constructive manner, e.g. team need to be educated and trained
- Management of day to day queries, should be considered thoroughly (obtain full information from team, question everything as an auditor) and a considered response based on finance processes should be formulated. Impacts on rest of finance should also be considered.
- All escalation points need to be specific, thought through, and solution proposed in a constructive manners
- Add all suppliers to system in a timely manner
- During audit period, pull any backup for requested samples, review as an auditor would to ensure it is sufficient before submission.
