Recovery does not mean “to cure”, it is about providing people with the skills to manage and enjoy their lives. At Amitola Communities we work alongside individuals on their journey.**

Our residential care and recovery homes are based in **York**, North Yorkshire and provide a therapeutic community setting, encouraging the development, well-being and independence of our residents. Offering long-term, medium-term and short-term care, as part of an individual recovery pathway to support our residents in reaching their full potential, enabling some to move back into the wider community, with varying degrees of support.

A recovery journey is personalised to the individual and everyone has the right to choose their own path to recovery, to move beyond the traditional ideals of survival and existence through the promotion and the development of key living skills, increased independence brought about by meaningful and purposeful daily activities. We use innovative techniques to encourage and support everyone to have purpose in their lives and full control over their futures. Our recovery programmes are facilitated by a dedicated and experienced team of professionals, including a Mental Health Nurses (RMN), Recovery Workers, Councillors, trained Family Workers, clinical psychologists, internal and external therapeutic activity providers.
- Job role:_
- To provide both practical and psychological support for individuals who experience physical and mental health difficulties.
- To assist individuals to work towards their individual outcomes and identified goals as detailed in their Recovery Plan/Personal Development Plan.
- Our approaches are underpinned by a psychological framework that encourages are reflective way of working to enhance good practice.
- Main responsibilities and key duties:_
- Undertake daily tasks and coordinate a programme of activities that focus on maintaining an individual’s physical and mental wellbeing, to help individuals continue working towards a more independent way of living and meet their personal goals and aspirations.
- To assist in enabling individuals to develop their self-confidence, self-esteem, and to be self-determining through successful completion of the Recovery Services pathway.
- To complete and maintain up-to-date records and documentation required.
- To work collaboratively with an individual to compose their Recovery plan.
- To assist in ensuring Health and Safety, Risk and Quality Compliance is carried out.
- To act as a positive role model for the organisational values, including presenting oneself with a neat and positive appearance.

**Working Hours**:

- Variable shifts including weekends, bank holidays.
- Full time hours ranging from 30-40 hours.

**Salary**:

- £11.65 per hour on weekdays.
- £12.15 per hour on weekends.

**Skills and Education**:

- Qualifications are not essential, a full induction and training will be provided.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Benefits**:

**Salary**: £11.65-£12.15 per hour
