**Job description**

Cheshire Constabulary has a vacancy in the Supplies and Logistics Team for a Logistics Assistant.

Main duties will include:

- Delivery of stores items, non-stores items and mail to Force locations across Cheshire Constabulary ensuring compliance with all guidelines and legislation and that agreed SLA’s are achieved.
- Sorting, franking and delivery of mail including booking and recording special deliveries and courier services ensuring it is correctly directed to the appropriate person / department / police station whilst confidential mail is handled accordingly.
- Collection and delivery of mail and parcels around HQ and outlying buildings.
- Collection and movement of items of property in accordance with the Force property policy including updating and maintenance of Force systems including Niche to maintain an accurate audit trail of items.
- Collection and return of forensic items including updating Force Systems including Locard systems to maintain an accurate audit trail.
- The post holder may be required to attend court regarding the logistics movements of items.
