As a global multi-disciplinary consultancy, The Aerospace, Defence, Security and Technology (ADS&T) Division within Atkins is at the leading edge of Defence support and is currently recruiting for a Junior Integrated Product Support Consultant. Atkins offers a range of independent and unbiased advice in engineering, technical and strategic advisory services to a wide breadth of markets and clients.

We are strengthening the Integrated Product Support (IPS) consulting team within ADS&T to meet increasing market demand for Integrated Product Support services within both the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and equipment manufacturer domains. These services include the more traditional Supportability / Technical Through Life Support services.

**Your purpose**:

- Development and delivery of cost-effective support solutions to a wide variety of clients primarily within the UK Defence domain.
- Working directly with clients under the supervision of a more experienced Consultant.
- Contribute in problem-solving, deal well with ambiguity and new content in a very broad range of situations across asset management activities, including input to bid proposals/tender responses.

- Awareness of Integrated Product Support principles and methods.
- Awareness of the Defence Logistics Framework (DLF), Knowledge in Defence (KiD) & DE&S Support Solution Development Tool (SSDT).
- Awareness of Defence Standard (Def Stan) 00-600, Joint Service Publication (JSP) 886 experience.
- Broad engineering domain knowledge.
- HNC/HND/Degree level in an engineering discipline or demonstrable relevant practical and theoretical engineering experience.
- Aspiration or working towards Chartered Engineer or equivalent.
- Awareness or emerging experience in developing and maintaining plans, reliability and maintainability (R&M) analysis and obsolescence management.
- Previous Integrated Product Support experience, in Defence or other high hazard industries is highly desirable, but not essential.
- Experience of working directly with clients.
