**Quality Controller - full time - permanent - training provided**

**Up to £12.30 per hour**

**8 hour shift - Monday to Friday - Weekends & bank holidays off**

**23 days holiday entitlement per year + 1 days birthday leave**

**39 hours per week, 8am-4.30pm Mon-Thu & 8am-3.30pm Fri**

Denhay produce premium Bacon and Gammon products for major UK Supermarkets, Wholesalers and Foodservice businesses. We operate from one site in Honiton, which we are proud to say regularly achieves BRC AA+ rating.

We are located minutes from the A30, in Honiton, Devon.

**Main Duties**:

- Ensure food safety, legality, quality and authenticity procedures are continuously implemented.
- Demonstrate & promote a positive food safety culture, including good manufacturing practise and working in clean, safe manner.
- Check products meet quality specifications and compliance standards.
- Production records and checks including labelling, intake, production.
- Sample collection, admin and analysis/trend results.
- Traceability and mass balance checks
- Internal inspections including hygiene and fabric.
- Liaise with suppliers.
- Assist during third party audits.

**Necessary Skills**:

- Attention to detail.
- Able to follow instruction, willing to learn.
- Integrity and awareness to identify faults and challenge as appropriate.
- Self-motivated, able to use own initiative.
- Confident communicator.
- Computer literate

**We can provide training for**:

- HACCP, Food hygiene & Internal auditing

**Experience and qualifications Required**

No prior experience is required**,** however experience in manufacturing organisations is an advantage.

Ideally you will have achieved at least 2 A-Levels (or an equivalent qualification)
