Credit Control Team Leader - French speaker
Do you have previous Team Leader experience gained within a credit control environment?
The main purpose of the role is to manage a team of centralised Credit Controllers who are responsible credit control activities across a number of European territories. You will act as an escalation point to resolve issues relating to Credit Control and In conjunction with the European Credit Control Manager, ensure the timely collection and allocation of funds are received.
The role requires the maintenance of strong business relationships with Chubb departments, brokers, insurance companies and external suppliers.
We work to a hybrid model where home and office working will be blended.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Undertake the management of our Credit Controllers and set monthly targets in respect to outstanding debts.
Ensure a consistent approach is adopted across the regions.
Manage the centralised team to deliver Due, Overdue and Inadmissible premium, Unapplied and Unallocated Cash and Claims results ensuring that any issues preventing attainment are escalated.
Act as a point of escalation to resolve all centralised Credit Control issues including, but not limited to the Collection of Premium, Claims and the clearance of Cash received including the liaison with Underwriters, Operations, Claims, Finance and third parties.
Review processes and procedures on a regular basis to identify improvements
Agree, implement and document the improvements ensuring adherence
Establish appropriate service level targets
Take responsibility for performance management and development of the Credit Control team
Identify training needs and maximise Cross-skilling across the department.
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley control documents relevant to the team and ensure that they are maintained in accordance with company guidelines.
Regular reporting Management on all key responsibilities.
**Qualifications**:
**Required Experience**:
Fluency in English and French (written and oral) is essential
Experience of working in financial services or insurance is preferred
Proven people management experience including performance management, carrying out observations, leading and motivating a team to achieve SLAs and drive efficiency measures to maximise productivity
Proven ability to provide coaching and feedback
Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Power Point with ability to analyse large databases and create pivot reports.
Customer Service orientated
Demonstrable ability to communicate consistently and effectively with people at all levels
Commercial acumen and high orientation to on-time delivery
Proven record of meeting deadlines, Self-motivated and independent
Demonstrates initiative whilst ensuring consistency with the overall region and function
