Lead Software Engineer / Analytics Software Development Lead required by multi-national insurance corporation to drive the implementation of analytics solutions including the next generation of platforms focussed on Machine Learning, RPA and Text Mining.
Working closely with developers, architects, product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders the Lead Software Engineer / Analytics Software Development Lead will form a team which will define the architecture from model development to model deploymentfor every analytics solution in the region.
Solutions will ultimately form a suite of RESTful APIs making use of Open API and be largely based on the MEAN Stack (Mongo/Express/Angular/Node). As such, you will be a hands-on Javascript software engineering lead undertaking programming on projects and articulatetechnical data and analytics requirements to various stakeholders. Additionally, you will define individual tasks for the development team, tracking progress on a regular basis to ensure high quality code that meets business objectives.
We are searching for a Senior Software Engineer / Software Development Team Lead / Lead Programmer who can demonstrate more than 10 years' of software engineering experience, with some experience in leading a small development team. An element of your experiencewill have been gained delivering data analytics solutions and you will be used to working with large scale, disparate data sets and multiple systems/platforms integrated via APIs.
You will ideally possess experience in MEAN (Mongo/Express/Angular/Node) but ultimately be an expert in Javascript programming with experience across other frameworks such as JQuery, React, Vue, Express etc. You will have gained hands on experience with OpenAPI specification and/or creating specifications with swagger and experience with GraphQL would be very useful. You will be comfortable working with cloud deployments and ideally have gained some experience deploying into the Azure cloud environment. Hands-onleadership qualities and stakeholder engagement experience will be required.
