Thank you for requesting details for the post of Behaviour, Attendance and Outreach Specialist at Moorlands Learning Trust (MLT), which has a remit to strategically support student behaviour and attendance through a variety of in-school interventions as well as outreach work with families and external agencies as appropriate.

The ‘BAO’ Specialist role will form part of the school’s pastoral support team and will involve regular liaison with Senior Leaders, Key Stage Leaders, SEN colleagues and external agencies. The successful applicant will report directly to the Deputy Principal and will be expected to work autonomously to ensure that our support provision for students with behavioural needs and/or poor attendance is constantly evolving to meet individual needs.

This is an exciting time in the Trust’s development where MLT’s overarching moral purpose is to:

- Play a key role in the wider development of our region and its future generations by providing an exceptional comprehensive education for students from all cohorts and demographic backgrounds, at every age and stage, in order to ensure that individual context does not affect a student’s life chances.
- Grow provision of high-quality educational experiences, where parents and the wider community are proud for their children to attend an MLT school, secure in the knowledge that their child will succeed and achieve their ‘Personal Best’ - everything that they are capable of - as a result.

Both IGS and TSA share a vision and ethos to ensure that all MLT students are equipped with the confidence and skills to make a positive difference to their own lives and to the lives of others. This is realised at TSA through the school motto of ‘Belong, Challenge, Inspire’.

At MLT we are aspirational for every student within the Trust and are committed to achieving success and inspiring others to do so too. We also invest in the professional development of our staff to keep ourselves at the cutting edge of educational development where staff wellbeing is also extremely important.

If you are inspired by this opportunity and have the qualities needed to support student behaviour and attendance at The Skipton Academy then we would be delighted to hear from you.
