Primary Function of Role:
Responsible for the continuous operation of the production team, to manufacture quality products, within a safe environment, efficiently, cost effectively, enabling customer expectations to be maintained or exceeded.
Main Duties Will Include:
- Plan and execute production schedule
- Ensure safe and secure working conditions, in line with health and safety regulations and company policy.
- Effectively communicate targets to the team
- Monitor and achieve maximum productivity, quality and efficiency
- Promote and support a positive work environment and staff work culture
- Update and liaise with appropriate stakeholders, communicating any problems or obstacles to senior management
- Review and evaluate all production operations, to ensure they are functioning within profitable margins
- Manage Factory team training requirements
- Oversee factory production equipment and taking responsibility for its maintenance
- Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines
- Instigate and lead improvements in factory, to both maintain and continually seek to improve production systems and quality management to ensure best manufacturing practices and competitive process are being adhered to
- Facilitate growth of production and integrate factory operations with overall strategic development of the company Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 year track record of successful management within a manufacturing environment.
- Competent and confident manager, with strong team leadership, excellent man-management and motivational skills.
- Pro-active and well organised with an analytical approach to problem solving and operational issues,
- Commercial awareness
- Numerate and able to adhere to internal processes & procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable with liaising with all divisions of the business.
- Computer literate - particularly with Word and Excel.
