An experienced quality assurance (QA) specialist is urgently required to support development, implementation, and operation of a fit for purpose quality management system which meets R&D needs considering the changing nature of the business. As a QA specialistyou will also handle budget where applicable and help perform internal and external supplier audit schedules ensuring that KPI’s are met

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support development, implementation, and operation of a fit for purpose of the quality management system which meets R&D needs considering the changing nature of the business.
- Develop and deploy training material in key quality areas to ensure R&D staff utilising the Quality Management System have sufficient knowledge to lead optimally.
- As part of quality governance activities, implement and supervise appropriate, consistent, and significant Key Performance Indicators across R&D and advise leadership of any issues as required.
- Engage with members of external authority bodies such as Quality Consultancies, agencies, and scientific groups to maintain transparency of the external quality environments and requirements.
- Support the R&D Quality Manager in the delivery and maintenance of the QMS (Quality Management System) that is fit for purpose and meets standard requirements (e.g.: ISO9001, ISO17025).
- Perform internal and external quality audits to ensure appropriate compliance with the agreed Quality Management System and mitigate external compliance risks.
- Find opportunities and implement continuous improvement plans in line with the agreed Quality Management System and any external accreditation requirements to improve and simplify company quality processes.
- Lead and provide support for quality processes such as Deviations and CAPA (Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions) with appropriate and agreed accountabilities
- Support the deployment of strategies to ensure a consistent and appropriate quality approach across R&D to supports accountability, continuous improvement, and leadership.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Education/ background in e.g., Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences or pharmacy OR food materials or food engineering or food chemistry or life science/chemistry or project management
- Previous experience in a QA quality role in food pharma or FMCG
- Previous experience in implementation of policies, procedures, and processes.
- Responsibility for a Quality Management System.
- Implemented a Quality Management Software in R&D / Manufacturing
- Proven understanding of quality management and quality management systems.
- Logical problem solver with practical outlook leading to pragmatic proposals and decision-making.
- Practical experience of running Corrective Action and Preventive Action process (CAPA)
- Proficiency on MS Excel and PowerPoint
