Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Engineering Assessment Expert to ensure the effective delivery of qualifications, meeting Awarding Organisation and company standards.

The successful candidate will support assessors in achieving their full potential and deliver programmes within their remit to an excellent standard. They will plan, conduct, and record sampling activities, observations, and support sessions to ensure ongoing assessor development.

Collaborating with the Director of Quality and Qualifications Quality Manager, they will contribute to assessor performance reviews, providing feedback on risk bandings, sampling, observations, and other IQA activities. They will also identify areas for development and implement strategies to improve quality.

To be successful in this role, you will hold an Assessor/IV qualification related to engineering, a teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards), and recent CPD participation. You will have experience in assessment and delivery of engineering apprenticeship standards and hold relevant industry qualifications or experience.

You will possess strong technical knowledge of machining, manufacturing, and maintenance, as well as the ability to use new technologies to enhance teaching and learning. You will have high personal standards and expectations, with awareness of academic quality standards.

The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team to achieve targets, while being receptive to new ideas and initiatives. They will have a creative approach to problem-solving and be committed to delivering high-quality outcomes.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
