The HR Apprentice will support the HR In Business in providing an efficient and streamlined service to the business with regard to all HR related administrative tasks. This role has a wide remit which includes input to all HR admin and is an important support role to the business. Effective administrative support is vital to the smooth running of the department.
The role will:
- Support the VF HR team administratively with reports and information gathering
- To gain job-based HR Generalist experience with the HR in Business team, working on a wide variety of people-based tasks and projects whilst studying for the CIPD level 3 foundation qualification
**Key accountabilities**:
**HR**
- Liaise with the HR Service Centre to ensure promotions, salary increases, and other contractual changes are processed correctly in a timely manner
- Manage secondment process from start to finish liaising with the Career Manager, individual, Emerging Talent Team and secondment company as necessary to produce the secondment agreement for HRM review, as well as following up on any ad-hoc matters
- Assist with the management of Long-Term Sick cases
- Respond to requests for HR data, liaising with the HRSC / other sources as required
- Assist with HR audit requirements
- Ad hoc project/administrative support/research as directed
- To provide all reporting requirements for the VF HR team
- Support HRM with activities relating to ER issues including but not limited to preparing case files, taking minutes
- Liaise with Corporate Comms on visibility projects such as EVP**L&D (Emerging Talent Team)**
- Monthly update of spreadsheets which log data referring to members of the Emerging Talent cohort
- Liaise with L&D Administration Team to rectify Review and Career Manager data in iLearn and other training reports where necessary
**Skills & experience**:
- GCSEs Grades A* to C or 9 to 4 under the new grading system in Maths and English (or acceptable equivalent)
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work alone without constant direction
- Excellent attention to detail
- Administrative experience
- Experience of using IT systems
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritise workload and consistently meet deadlines
