Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic and caring team at Randolph House Care Home. You must be committed and passionate in your clinical practice. You will also need to be knowledgeable in the standards expected within this framework and driven to deliver the highest standard of care.
- **Purpose of the role**_
- Prepare all food, as directed by the Chef.
- Assist and execute various kitchen duties such as ensuring cleaning schedules are adhered to.
- Assist in preparation and serving of all meals, in a timely manner.
- Liaise with care staff and Service Users in a polite and person-centred way.
- **Principal Duties and Responsibilities**_
- Under the supervision of the Chef, assist in identifying items to be ordered to ensure enough levels of supplies for catering operation from specified suppliers, using Randolph House Care Home procedures.
- Operate an efficient stock control system.
- Ensure equipment supplied is used with care, in accordance with suppliers' instructions and training.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any faults.
- Be clean, hygienic and well presented at all times.
- Any incidents or accidents to be reported to the Chef and appropriately recorded and actioned.
- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support.
**Staff Personal Standards**
- Appropriate clothing must be worn in the kitchen, e.g., hat, apron etc.
- Long hair must be tucked under a hair net or tied back.
- A clean uniform must be worn daily, and a plastic apron used if deemed necessary.
- Rings, watches, necklaces, and earrings must not be worn.
**Job Type**: Permanent
**Salary**: £10.42 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
