**Role Responsibility**:
As the **HSE Advisor** you will have worked in a similar industry with experience of working on Highways, Infrastructure or Maintenance Projects. This role reports to the HSEQ Manager.

Reporting to the HSEQ Manager the role of **HSE Advisor** will provide expertise alongside consistent and focused support and advice in matters of HSE to drive improvement and consistency across the business.

Responsibilities for this role will include (not exhaustive):

- Give assurance to the business via inspection, audit and review that Riney HSE standards are being implemented and where not, giving suitable advice in order to address the failure, monitoring close out of the actions required to completion
- Support investigations in order that learns from incidents, injuries, operational losses and occupational health problems can be effectively implemented and shared to prevent recurrence
- Support development and delivery of reports and presentations at Monthly Management Meetings, giving constructive feedback on KPIs, targets, objectives, lessons learned and actions required
- Play a key role within HSE team and business working groups to help develop and deliver the Riney HSE Strategy and initiatives
- Mentor and coach stakeholders of the business including supporting the successful onboarding of sites and other operational managers to the business
- Engage with key stakeholders both internally and externally at all levels
- Ensure that safety commissioning and contractor management is carried out in line with the Riney standards

As our ideal **HSE Advisor** you will have:

- Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation
- Ability to confidently deliver presentations
- Incident investigation and risk mitigation skills and experience
- Sound understanding of visible felt leadership benefits
- Professional and positive outlook as well as a can do attitude
- Proven ability to build strong, trustworthy relationships with all stakeholders and peers
- Drive to achieve results and deliver high standards
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Good oral, written communication; and presentation skills with strong numeracy and analytical ability

In this role you will be in liaison with stakeholders across the businesses of Riney, Tarmac, CRH and local authorities where you must be able to travel across the region of work
