**Swift Temps** are currently recruiting for a number of Sewing Machinists within the Pimbo area of Skelmersdale

Do you have an interest in Sewing & Textiles and experience on a Sewing Machine in an industrial environment?

My employer is a privately owned business & currently has vacancies for skilled machinists to join their growing team of Sewing Machinists.

The key responsibility of a Sewing Machinist is to make sewn products that meet specifications and quality criteria, with particular emphasis on maintaining quality standards whilst working at the required efficiency rate and meeting targets and deadlines.

**Key areas of the role**:

- Operating specialist industrial sewing machines
- Working with a variety of materials, threads and trimmings
- Using a variety of sewing production techniques and methods
- Interpreting and following instruction and technical specifications
- Producing sewn items that meet quality standards, targets and deadlines
- Adhering to health and safety rules and regulations

**Key Skills Required**:

- Experience with flatbed machine is essential and and overlock desirable
- Adaptable to new situations and new ways of working
- Must be able to learn new skills quickly
- Self motivation and pride in their work

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £9.50-£10.50 per hour
