Senior Program Manager, Hazardous Material

Can you lead large cross-functional teams to launch regulated hazardous materials storage compliance projects and initiatives? Are you comfortable digging into business requirements and collaborating with business and technical teams to launch new capabilitiesimproving the customer experience? Do you have experience launching new initiatives with high-level stakeholders? We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to plan and execute large-scale global programs across Amazon teams as part of the EMEA PARS Complianceteam located in our EU headquarters in Luxembourg.
Key job responsibilities
- Identify and lead complex regulated hazardous materials storage improvement projects to drive towards a best in class regulated hazardous materials compliance program.
- Ensure regulatory requirements are met for existing and new products/processes by understanding product attributes to drive intended storage actions.
- Provide end-to-end regulated hazardous materials storage compliance project management support and guidance for complex business projects and initiatives.
- Work cross functionally with our risk management, real estate, engineering, business and software teams to ensure regulated hazardous materials storage compliance requirements are known and projects are carried out to delivery.
- Identify regulatory risks in new products and services and provide guidance for risk mitigations.
- Interpret new or changing regulations related to hazardous materials storage, construction codes, segregation of materials, drainage and containment, fire protection, ventilation, and electrical requirements to determine how it applies to business operations.
- Support new business initiatives to ensure regulated hazardous materials storage compliance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with retail, FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) and fulfillment center partners to capture and remediate concerns.

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**
- Degree in business, engineering, logistics/supply chain management, environment science or equivalent
- Prior project management experience involving multiple stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
- Experience driving process improvement with technology
- Taking ownership and delivering results
- Track record of project deliverables where improvement is measurable
- Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team, including adherence to core values and dynamic corporate culture
- Exceptional organizational skills, ability to work independently and autonomously
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
- Ability to travel internationally

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- First hand experience of Amazon operations or a similar fast growing business who has to manage regulated product capacity through growth
- Experience in a fast paced, changing/growing organization is a plus
- Knowledge of data warehouse and SQL is a strong plus
- Knowledge of French, German, Spanish and/or Italian a strong asset
