**_ About the role_**

The college currently has an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced counselling tutor.

As an established tutor, you will be part of the teaching team who deliver our Level 4, Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.

Working closely with the Programme Manager for Counselling, you will be assigned to suitable counselling and mental wellbeing courses for which you will plan and deliver high quality learning programmes that meets the needs of all learners.

You will be responsible for the management of coursework and ePortfolios via an [online] learning platform. You will complete standard quality assurance tasks related to course planning and management, learner attendance and punctuality, learner progression, assessment and evaluation.

You will be invited to attend regular 1:1 and team meetings. You will also assist with learner recruitment processes for example, initial assessment, learner interviews and college Open Days.

**_About you_**

Applicants for this post, must meet the following criteria:
**Teaching Qualification**
- You will hold a Level 4, Teaching Qualification (Level 5 desirable) or be prepared to undergo training
- You will have a minimum of two years’ experience of teaching and assessing at Level 3 and 4, or above

**Counselling Qualification**
- You must have a therapeutic counselling qualification (450 hours) at Level 4 or above

**Minimum Practice Experience**
- You will be a current practitioner with 2 years supervised counselling practice or a minimum 450 counselling hours and hold a Supervision qualification or have 1 year experience of providing supervision to groups or individuals in a counselling setting
- 10 hours of personal therapy
- a Member of a professional association for counselling or psychotherapy
- 30 hours per year CPD activities
