**The RTG Chemical Biology of Ion Channels (Chembion)** at the University of Münster is offering a position, for the externally-funded collaborative research endeavor Chembion, at the earliest opportunity, limited to 3 years.

We are looking for an ambitious PhD student with a fitting research idea to be included in our multidisciplinary team.

**Your tasks**

Subject of the work will be the structure, function and pharmacology of ion channels. The PhD. student work will focus on work with **protein structure determination via Cryo-EM, molecular modeling and electrophysiology in single cells**. We will provide a structured 3-year cutting-edge Ph.D. student training program in and beyond the fields mentioned above.

**Our expectations**
- A highly motivated and talented PhD. student holding a state examination degree in pharmacy or, alternatively, a master’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry or biology Excellent command of spoken and written English Communication skills and team spirit are essential German language skills are not a requirement, but a willingness to learn is desirable
