The Role
- Serving as the senior technology leader reporting to the CFO you will be leading EDF RE UK & Ireland Digital strategy development, execution, and IT operations. Additionally as the head of the IT function you will be focused on developing in-house skillsets,building strong stakeholder relationships across the EDF Group and managing key IT vendor relationships.
- Digital tools and capabilities are a key element of EDF Renewables growth strategy - by enabling the selection and development and delivery of more competitive and reliable renewable energy projects.
- A key challenge for this role is to address the organisation’s day-to-day IT & Digital challenges, and deliver tangible improvements in the near term, whilst also taking a longer term strategic view to develop the capabilities for the future to supportthe plannedgrowth, consistent with the wider EDF Renewables Group strategy.
- The Head of IT & Digital will oversee and develop a small team of in-house professionals, and work with the shareholder IT teams to meet EDFR UK &I current and future needs. An important aspect of the role is developing the federated IT & Digital operatingmodel to enable delivery of our strategy and to act as a senior leader within the wider Renewables Group IT community led by the EDF Renewables Group Chief Digital & Information Officer and his teams.

Key Accountabilities
- Clear digital strategy, capabilities and roadmap of activities and projects to deliver the strategy
- Provide leadership in technology portfolio for enablement and innovation
- Define the enterprise architecture that implements the EDF Renewables Group architecture guidelines in relation to current and future requirements
- Manage a portfolio of technology projects to meet cost, scope, and schedule constraints
- Develop key performance indicators and SLAs in lieu of requirement of stakeholders
- Develop policies for IT operations to drive attainment of SLAs
- Oversee the delivery of software and hardware operations and projects
- Enable process efficiency of business operations
- Continuously strives for high levels of user satisfaction with the Digital & IT services, ensuring that improvements are continuous, measurable and sustainable.
- Drive innovation for core business operations by recommending viable technologies
- Identify key skills and talent gaps in the organization and work to recruit, train, and retain talent
- Identify and manage external vendors in the delivery of contracted work
