Summary: We are seeking a talented, motivated scientist to help contribute to the growth, maintenance, and assessment of multiple organisms, including bacteria, yeast, algae and cyanobacteria, in monocultures and designed consortia.

As a Biological Research Technologist at Protiomix, you will play a crucial role in conducting laboratory-based studies and scientific investigations using biological and bench techniques. Your responsibilities will include employing established scientific methodologies, collecting and analysing scientific data, and providing progress updates to the team. Key Responsibilities:

- Experimental Investigation - Prepare and conduct laboratory-based scientific investigations and experiments. Identify appropriate scientific techniques, procedures, and methods to meet objectives.
- Equipment - Utilise specified instrumentation and laboratory equipment. Including operating centrifuges, spectrophotometers, pH meters, autoclaves, magnetic stirrer plates and orbital shakers amongst other pieces of equipment.
- Feedstock Management - Working with various types of feedstock and coordinate hands-on activities, including logístical considerations for securing and handling feedstock.
- Basic Analysis - Process and produce reliable analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of data, particularly related to liquid feedstock and consortia.
- Compiling Results - Systematically collect accurate information from scientific investigations and experiments while maintaining detailed records.
- Presenting Results - Present data effectively to both scientific and non-scientific audiences, utilising methods such as statistical analysis.

- Proficiency in accurately presenting data through graphs and other visual formats.
- Experience working with bioreactors.
- Valid UK Driving License.

**Salary**:

- Annual starting salary ranging from £21,000-£23,000.

**Location**:
