FACADES DESIGN COORDINATOR:
Our client is an industry leading building envelope contractor specialising in consultation, design, supply and installation of fenestration and rainscreen cladding systems. Due to continued growth, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Facades Design Coordinator to contribute towards the development and execution of successful projects, serving as the mediator in all stages of design, the progression and delivery of system’ standard and bespoke solutions, in collaboration with our internal and external design teams.

**Responsibilities**:Advise on suitability of tender submittals, validate product performance and suitability.

Produce and assist in the production of compliant technical design, schedules and reports.

Mange allocated internal or external project design and engineering resource. Programme, manage, quality review and approve design and engineering output. Manage information exchange and coordinate with project design team.

Present design and engineering output to external reviewers.

Manage design risk, review and approve risk registers and liaise with project Risk Manager. Consult the project delivery team, advise manufacturers, fabricators and suppliers. Advise on value engineering proposals, valuate design and engineering progress and review variations.

Assist in operation and maintenance package preparation.

**Requirements**:Façade coordination experience with the following Building Envelope Systems is preferred: Steel Framing Systems External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems Rainscreen Cladding Systems and Roofing Windows, Doors and Curtain Walling External Shading and Architectural Metalwork Qualifications and Essential Skills: Significant proven experience in a similar role, ideally aligned to a relevant degree. Previous experience in dealing with clients, consultants and insurers is required.

Experienced user of the Auto Desk PDM/AEC and the CAD Plan software suites. Excellent technical, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with and influence people, build trust and confidence. Ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with other departments, clients and suppliers. Detail oriented with strong time management skills, ability to self-direct work load and accomplish tasks.

Knowledge of the following is key: Weathertightness, Condensation, Ventilation, Durability and Sustainability. Structural, Impact, Thermal, Acoustic and Fire performance of Systemised Walls. Wind Loading, Movement and Tolerance accommodation in Building Envelopes. Security, Maintenance and Buildability. Assessment and Certification of Building Envelopes.

Previous experience with Mixed-use and Residential developments is a distinct advantage

**Salary**: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
