You will be supporting the wider team with all administration related to the procurement of material orders, including setting up meetings, completing action logs, ensuring correct price files are uploaded onto the system, uploading, and submitting orders.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Process Purchase Orders and Subcontract Orders within agreed Service Levels

Obtain quotations and negotiate with Suppliers

Benchmark products and services for recommendation to Buyers

Proactively manage the department mailboxes

Produce spend & product reports (departmentally and for internal customers)

Maintain effective logs to measure supplier SLA performance, spend and cost savings, along with any reoccurring issues

Provide customer focused advice, guidance & training to internal customers on supply chain systems and processes (e.g., orders, goods receipting etc)

Answering telephone queries in a timely manner

Ensure governance is met and adhered to and relevant information is attached to IFS (quotes, requisition forms etc.)

Update supplier records and parts catalogues on systems including part creation

Using CIPS best practice techniques, monitor market trends and global events which may impact supply and interrupt service to clients

Work closely and collaborate with the Accounts team to mitigate any invoice issues

Support secondments to contracts / business areas where required

Attend internal, client and supplier meetings throughout the UK

**Knowledge and/or Skills**

- Intermediate computer literacy - Microsoft Office suite
- Developed communication skills
- Developed organisational skills- Experience of using an ERP system such as IFS, SAP etc.**Personal Attributes**

Enjoys and prefers working in a fast paced and deadline driven environment and unphased by demanding stakeholders, changing priorities and conflicting demands
