Interactive Brokers Group ("IBKR") is looking to hire a Europe Sanctions Lead with deep UK and EU sanctions expertise. As the regional head for Sanctions Compliance in Europe, the key objective of this role is to manage IBKR's compliance with UK and EU sanctions regimes, including the analysis of new sanctions regulations and their impact across European IBKR entities and related products, as well as the evaluation of existing controls and development or enhancement needs.

The role is based in our London office and, with the other regional heads, will report to the U.S.based Global Head of Sanctions Compliance. The role will have additional accountability to and support from the UK Head of Financial Crime. While this role may manage 1 or 2 analysts over time, this role will primarily leverage the Global Sanctions program and operational support.

Due to expansion, we recently relocated our office to a fantastic City of London tower on Fenchurch Street, where we operate a hybrid working model. You will be pleased to hear we offer lunch every day you are in the office from a selection of vendors.
- Act as the UK/European SME on Sanctions risk management and identify, review, and interpret any new sanction regime, changes thereof, and regulatory news.
- Assess business and risk impacts across the organization, especially for the European affiliates, and define required changes to systems and controls for the firm to remain compliant and satisfactorily manage sanctions risks.
- Coordinate efforts across Europe to perform relevant controls and contribute to defining and maintaining global, enterprise-wide Sanctions protocols.
- Conduct or support reviews and investigations in specific Sanctions-related cases.
- Partner with European Financial Crime Heads to support and advise on complex Sanctions issues, including those related to client sanctions exposure and new products.
- Carry out any other ad-hoc tasks or additional anti-financial crime responsibility at the request of the Heads of Financial Crime.
- Ability to work independently and within a small team to build relationships across countries and entities

**Qualifications/Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of UK and EU sanctions regimes, with familiarity with UN and US sanctions
- Significant experience in UK sanctions.
- A Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to manipulate data, and produce MI.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work and thrive in a fast-paced medium-sized office environment with team members from around the globe.
