Assistant Bookkeeper

With a commitment to excellence and professionalism, we are seeking a skilled Part Time Bookkeeper to join our busy bookkeeping department and contribute to our clients' success.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage bookkeeping tasks for a portfolio of clients, including recording financial transactions and completing the posting process.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions, verifying data for completeness and accuracy.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial documents for clients.
- Collaborate with the bookkeeping team and account managers to address client needs and improve processes.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role, preferably in an accounting firm or similar setting.
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- High degree of confidentiality and integrity.
- Relevant certification (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) is a plus.
**Schedule**: This is a part time position, offering 25 hours per week. The schedule can be flexible based on mutual agreement and workload.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: From £15,000.00 per year
Expected hours: No more than 25 per week
