Managerial and Administrative The appointees will be expected to take a role in management and administration within the department. Research, Teaching and Audit: As the posts will be based within a teaching hospital complex, the consultants/senior doctors will be expected to take part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research activities. There is an active audit process within the Department and the Directorate. The appointees will be expected to participate in audit and present audit data at palliative care service review meetings and at Directorate Clinical Governance Meetings.

The St Oswalds sessions will include in person out of hours on call (frequency/expectations to be confirmed and can be combined with weekends providing telephone CHIPS advice)
