** Operations Supervisor Needed**

More recruitment are working with a client based in Bedford who are looking for an experienced Transport/Operation Supervisor to join there team.

You will maintain a high level of efficiency through planning, and provide office support to both employees and customers, keeping company data updated and interacting with clients to build good relationships.

You will be reporting into the operations manager.

**Shifts**:Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 6.00pm (with a 30-minute unpaid break)

**Salary**: £28500 - £31000 ( depending on experience)

**Main tasks of the job**:

- Oversee, and ensure the quality checking of vehicles is carried out on-site, including all non-NHS vehicles being valeted before leaving site.
- Oversee and carry out where necessary, the book in of vehicles, tagging of keys, logging onto the system, and parking of vehicles on-site, along with startup order numbers for each lease provider.
- Supervision and management of yard to ensure efficient workflow of vehicles
- Oversee, and perform where needed, the check-out of vehicles form workshop, closing down jobs on system after completion.
- Route the van drivers efficiently, and effectively daily, ensuring costings are calculated, and a record of costings is kept on a daily basis for review.
- Route recovery vehicles in line with driver tacho and customer demands, ensuring a record of costings is produced prior to the vehicle leaving for the route, and a record of the costings is kept for review.
- Monitoring and management of van drivers and route recovery vehicles during operational period.
- Oversee all booking in of non-NHS vehicles by means of customer vehicle form sheet if being dropped off, completed on each occasion and kept on file.
- Conduct multiple workshop checks to ensure technicians are on time with their jobs and report any delays to management.
- Ensure at day end, all workshop jobs that have not completed in the workshop are moved over to the next working day.
- Complete Day End checks with the Operations team office, ensuring all compliance, admin and other operational issues are addressed/rectified and management notified of anything outstanding.
- Oversee and carry out where needed the booking in and out of hire vehicles, and the recharge of fuel to refill them on arrival back to UKTP using apex or Pinewood system only.

**Requirements for the role**:

- You must have a background of working in a similar role
- You must be organized and have time-management skills
- You must have good ICT skills including excel and preferably good knowledge of an accounting package.
- You need to have the ability to function well within a team as well as working on your own imitative
- You will have an excellent eye for detail
- A knowledge of Sage is desirable along with a passion for numbers, accuracy and problem solving
- You will need to be a fast learner and willing to take on new challenges and undertaking training as required.

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
