We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, who can work under pressure, to join our team for the International Greenwich Olympiad (IGO) in an on-site capacity at our school. As the IGO assistant, you will be pivotal in organizing and managing this prestigious Project Olympiad hosted by North London Grammar School in London, United Kingdom.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Communication and marketing**: Act as the primary point of contact for participating schools, students, and their parents, providing timely and helpful information about the Olympiad. Ensure clear communication channels, mostly phone calls, are established to address inquiries and concerns. Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract schools, Olympiads, and students from various regions to participate in the IGO. Work to increase the event's visibility and reputation globally.

**2. Coordination and Logistics**:Assist in the planning and scheduling of IGO, including venue selection, event dates, and resource allocation. Collaborate with team members to ensure all logistics, such as materials, equipment, and supplies, are arranged and ready for the event. Manage registration processes for participants, including collecting and organizing necessary information and documents.

**3. Documentation and Feedback**:Assist in documenting the competition process, including participant lists, project details, and event highlights. Gather feedback from participants, educators, and judges to identify areas for improvement and inform future competitions.

**4. Press Relations**: Handling interactions with media organizations participating in the program. Providing accurate and comprehensive information to the press firsthand (interviews, etc.)Preparing press releases and sending them to the media.

**5. Social Media**:Managing Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts. Ensuring regular and organized postings on these accounts.

**6. Technical Support**:Provide technical assistance to participants, ensuring their projects are displayed correctly and any technical issues promptly addressed. Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to presentation equipment, audio-visual aids, and project displays.

**7. Evaluation and Judging**:Assist in coordinating the selection and training of competition judges, ensuring fairness and adherence to evaluation criteria. Facilitate the judging process during the competition, ensuring the integrity of evaluations and maintaining confidentiality.

**8. Event Management**: Oversee the smooth execution of the Olympiad event, from the opening ceremony to the award ceremony. Ensure a memorable and rewarding experience for all attendees.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Having earlier experience is not mandatory in organizing this Olympiad. We’ll provide the necessary training.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Passion for promoting science and technology education.
- Experience in event planning or educational program coordination is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages would be a plus.
- Flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- This position requires your physical presence on the school premises and is not eligible for online or remote work arrangements.
