This is a fulltime post of 37.5 hours per week with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

Renfrewshire HSCP’s Planning and Health Improvement Service are recruiting 1 WTE Band 5 Health Improvement Practitioner. The post holder will have responsibility for a broad portfolio of health improvement and health inequalities work in line with the Renfrewshire HSCP Strategic Plan, NHSGG&C and Scottish Government’s Health Improvement priorities and local health needs. The post holder will have a key role in building capacity of staff within the HSCP and Partner Organisations in relation to the Health Improvement agenda. The poster holder will have responsibility for key areas work areas, such as early years, oral health and infant feeding. The post holder is also responsible for establishing and sustaining links internally within NHSGGC and key external partners/clients/communities to promote health improvement, address health inequalities and act in an advisory capacity providing health improvement support. Applicants must be educated to degree level or equivalent. Applicants are expected to demonstrate skills in line with the Public Health Skills and Knowledge Framework (2016).
