We are currently looking for an experienced Merchandiser to join our team.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Demand Planning/ Supply Chain Management:_
- Ongoing management of demand forecasting and development of stock models
- Planning and forecasting overall intake plan across new and existing products for different sourcing countries and lead times
- Gather and use supply chain data to improve ways of working
- Building relationships with key suppliers, ensuring a thorough knowledge of the departmental supply base and the associated advantages, disadvantages, and risks of different sources, providing regular forecasts to key suppliers
- Working with Warehouse and Logistics teams to improve fulfilment processes and activities, and implementing these developments and changes
- Overseeing all rebuys on team and managing own areas, monitoring all stock covers including high, and reviewing Intake dates and Warehouse space in different locations
- Management of the stock & critical path through effective communication with Supplier and Buyers, ensuring we have the right stock levels to meet sales budgets and targets, ensuring appropriate product launch timing. Supplier penalties on delays including rebuys
- Managing stock levels in line with budgets, current trade performance and target stock covers
- Ensuring best sellers are covered in forward ranges and flow lines are maintained
- Trading:_
- Consistent awareness of best and worst sellers, proposing repeats and extensions where appropriate
- Understanding of Margins and sales mixes on Categories, SKU Statuses, Newness, Colour, Materials and Pricing
- Reviewing year on year performance and options
- Analysing sales at all product levels, identifying trends, opportunities for growth and managing potential risk
- Manage product performance criteria to drive decisions on ordering, product discontinuation and all related trading activities (promotions, markdowns)
- Take agreed action on markdowns, processing on the system and analyse their effectiveness, and different promotional strategies
- Developing a yearly promotional calendar
- Assisting in the preparation of weekly WSSI and trade meeting reports, and Weekly and Monthly Trade presentations
- Generate product/buy preparation analysis for Buying team
- Checking and managing stock visibility on the Website
- Systems and Reporting:_
- Assisting building key new reports needed for the business, including Line Details, WSSI, forecasting and stock availability tools
- Assisting with software integration, developing, and creating new planning/forecasting tools and reporting based around this. Also maintaining or changing any existing reporting in line with new software
- Drive data driven merchandising through all available merchandising tools including search, recommendations, and dynamic merch tools
- Analyse online analytics and trade patterns in detail to ensure appropriate action is taken to pro-actively drive conversion
- Drive and optimise Google Analytics merchandise reporting capabilities and report automation
- Manage SKU portfolio and changes
- Team Management:_
- Managing development of MAA
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with key partners across the business, with particular emphasis on the Buying, Retail, Warehouse, Logistics and Finance teams
- Technical Experience:_
- Highly numerate, analytical and organised
- Strong excel and data analysis skills
- Logical thinker, process orientated who can balance several work streams simultaneously
- Agile and flexible with the ability to react to constant change
- Problem solving skills
- Detail and data orientated
- Creative and proactive with new reporting ideas
- Educated to degree level
