Role Overview:
Working in the Global MDM (Master Data Management) team, you will be accountable for central and shared master data. You will also be responsible for the input, maintenance, and quality control of this data, ensuring it is accurate. You will collaborate cross functionally to support the master data needs of other parts of the GSC (Global Supply Chain) organisation.

As a forward-thinking master data specialist, you will be the first port of call for all central SAP master data queries and will take an active role in promoting best practice data management across Varian.

Role Description:
This role is crucial to bring supply chain process expertise to our data organization, accelerate developments and unleash the power of big data for our teams across Global Supply Chain.

Responsible for analysis and evaluation of requirements, data and table updates relative to the business functions and ensure this is communicated to the Execution and Procurement teams for evaluation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supporting with the build and delivery of reporting and analytics to gain visibility of key management information and insights.
- Identifying the right data sets across several source systems to drive a consistent use in the organisation.
- Testing and validation of large data sets between different systems to ensure data quality.
- Working with the Strategy and Governance team, develop the data quality rules to further improve data quality.
- Putting a framework together for creating a data model whilst extracting data from SAP and the Data Lake.
- Building out a community of SME’s (Subject Matter Experts) to define golden data sets to define priorities across the region.
- Collaborating closely with the wider Supply Chain to make our company more data driven.
- Partnering with the business to drive fit for purpose, value driving solutions.
- Working with the IT / Business Operations Support Teams to facilitate incident & problem resolution.
- Support as needed Engineering Changes via SAP and SAP NetWeaver.
- Maintain high volumes and complex data / documents and drawings that involve many sites/plants and business rules with good data quality and integrity.
- Lead Continuous Improvement (CI) projects within the department.
- Pull reports and analyse data for New Product Introduction (NPI), Obsolescence, transfer, projects.
- Develop processes related to EC, Product Lifecycle, and business processes.
- Investigate and solve issues that maybe due to parts or Bills of Material (BOM) setting / data quality issues.
- In depth knowledge of materials and BOMs, act as consultant role to advice manufacturing/execution/procurement/logistics and able to detect mistakes on BOM / material settings by requestors.
- May participate in managing change for Configurable Materials, Routings, BOMs, and Product Logic in SAP Variant Configurator (SAP S4 HANA).
- Coordinate with different functions throughout the end-end ECO coordination.
- Provide training to end users.
- Develop automation to enhance daily tasks and increase efficiency.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree of any field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in SAP S4HANA ERP and product transfer knowledge.
- Ability to perform SAP MM, BOM, drawings and documents validation.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain environment.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Requires general proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures to accomplish job.
