**Role Title**: Climate Policy and Advocacy Snr Specialist

**Salary**: £46,040 per annum, pro rata.

Please note that this is the full-time equivalent and the role is offered on a 9 month fixed term, part time basis of 28 hours which equates to approx. £27,624 for the duration of the fixed term.)

**Location: London/Hybrid**

**Tenure**: 9 months, part time (28 hours per week.)

**ActionAid UK is a member of the ActionAid Federation, an international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty. **   As part of the ActionAid Federation, we work with women and girls, our partners, and dedicated staff in 43 countries to end violence and fight poverty so that all women, everywhere, can create the future they want.

Are you a specialist in climate policy and advocacy with an understanding of the importance of the human-rights based approach and in particular, of women’s rights?

Do you have an established network within the ESG arena and a track record of successfully lobbying civil servants, politicians and high profile banking specialists?

Are you passionate about advocating for divestment within the banking sphere?

**PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE IS BEING OFFERED A 9 MONTH FIXED TERM BASIS FOR 28 HOURS PER WEEK**

A strong understanding of and commitment to decolonised and anti-racist approaches to environmental policy development and influencing is also essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established professional to be at the beginning of ActionAid’s journey and use their experience to guide and mentor our organisation.

ActionAid UK has a hybrid working policy for many of our roles.  The requirement will vary from team to team and the responsibilities of individual roles.  As a minimum, all colleagues are expected to attend the office 12 days per year, plus additional time for induction, training, and “Company Connection days.”  Some roles may require in-office attendance on **all **days and if so, these will clearly be marked as in-office roles.
