Transport Planner Required. Our client is a reliable and proven business partner offering supply chain solutions through port operations, logistics, storage, handling, and distribution. They are a leading independent operator who has six important port facilitiesacross the UK.
**Transport Planner - Position Overview**
- Work with internal and external customers, departments, and other depots to plan routes, schedule delivery times to ensure customer receives first class service in the most efficient and cost
- effective manner.
- Planning back loads journeys
- Managing a fleet of 30 vehicles & Drivers
- Briefing & de-briefing drivers
- Dealing with Compliance
- Taking it in turns to take the phone home for fleet emergencies (breakdowns, etc)
- Dealing with any issues / concerns that arise
- Route Planning
- KPI’s
- Charge of driver rota’s, plan drivers according to shift patterns and available hours
**Transport Planner - Position Requirements**
- Experience as a Transport Planner
- Previous experience with backload / multi drops
- General Haulage knowledge
- CPC - Desirable
- Strong geographical knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility & Adaptable
**Transport Planner - Position Remuneration**
- Mon - Fri 8:00am - 17:30pm (discussed at interview stage)
- Salary £28,000 - £32,000
- 22 days holiday + bank holidays
