**Title: Transport Planner / Transport Customer Service**

The Best Connection is working with our client based in Seaham. They now have a requirement for a **Trainee Transport Planner** to join their busy transport team.

**No previous experience is required as full training will be given.**
- Have previous customer service or admin background and will be proficient with Microsoft and excel
- They will be organised, punctual and reliable with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Be able to work closely with internal departments to ensure that all cargo is available on time and to the high standard that our customers expect.

In return for a ‘can do attitude’ you will be given full training in the role with future investment of progressing towards CPC Management qualification.

**Following training duties will include**:

- Efficiently plan outbound transport operations for fleet of 23 vehicles
- Update customers daily on any relevant information they require (booking times etc.)
- Brief and de-brief drivers
- Ensure correct trailer utilised (Tankers, Tippers, Tautliners, etc.)
- Ensure fleet maintenance appointments are planned in and kept up to date
- Undertake weekly invoicing, POD’s tasks so attention to detail is required
- Provide reports to management of any issues that need raising (Route utilisation, Driving trends, etc)
- Any ad-hoc duties that may arise

**Essential Requirements**:

- Excellent customer service & Interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills & communication skills
- Highly proficient in the use of Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
- IT literate

**Annual Salary**:

- £20,000

**Hours of work**:

- Monday - Friday
- 08:00am - 17:00pm
